Sally’s previous research experience was mainly in neuroscience, including developing biomaterials for peripheral nerve repair and discovering rapid-acting antidepressants. She was introduced to immunology when working as a research associate on B cell lymphoma at Weill Cornell before joining the Schnappinger lab in April 2024. Even though from a different background, Sally is still fascinated by the intricate disease mechanisms and the challenges in developing new therapies. Sally also really enjoys working on a project on the molecular and genetic levels, besides her familiarity with animal behaviors.
